Position paper
Country: Germany
Delegate: Joshua Rodriguez
Topic: Millennium Development Goals
The country of Germany is a federal republic and is one of Europe’s second most populous countries and is a key member to the continents’ economic, political, and defense organizations. The country of Germany has a population of 81, 471, 834.Germany’s GPD is $2.96 trillion and would be able to help out countries in need. Germany would like to ensure that every country gets a chance out of poverty.
The Millennium Development Goals are put in place to stop poverty around the world. The Millennium Development Goals are set to achieve the eight anti-poverty goals by their 2015 target date and the announcement of major new commitments for women's and children's health and other initiatives against poverty, hunger and disease. With this plan there will be a lower number of people in need of help, bringing up people who have hade difficult times in the past to have another chance. There are many countries out there that need this help that cannot produce enough to sustain their people out of poverty and disease. The federal republic of Germany believes that the countries in need of aid should compose a plan of the things they need help with so we can address their issue.
MUN 2 Final
What was the most important thing you learned in MUN?
The most important thing i learned in MUN was that coming up with a position paper is hard. One of the hard things about it is learning all of your countries background and the topic. It is hard trying to do both things in the limited amount of time given. Once you have done all the paper work it become harder with the simulation since its sometime hard to find a good thing to respond or argue with, this is what make me not perform good since i find it hard to find something to respond to.
How can MUN be applied to your every day life?
MUN can be aplide to my every day life because it can be used in just about everything. MUN can be used in school for presentations and to argue with people and make fine points. it can help you be a leader not just in school but in a carrer to.
